Nothing is more Michigan than a Paul Bunyan, made entirely of car parts.

Bunyan is an American folklore hero. A giant lumberjack, who was accompanied typically by his ox, 'Babe the Blue Ox.'

The character was first created by North American Loggers and has been a family stay for over a hundred years now. Especially, here in Michigan.

There is a Paul Bunyan statue here in Michigan, made entirely of car parts.

Located in Alpena, Michigan, and constructed entirely of car parts from a past car manufacturer right here in the State, take a look at this roadside attraction.

Nothing screams Pure Michigan like a Paul Bunyan statue made entirely from car parts.

The statue was nearly scrapped four different times, much like many of the cars that were used to build the 30-foot-statue.

The statue has been labeled as one of Michigan's most ridiculous landmarks in Michigan, according to a Yahoo travel article.

It is a little odd and a little out there, but let us not forget about the Paul Bunyan that many people visit on our constant trips up to St. Ignace, Michigan.

You climb all those steps just to get a view looking out over the St. Ignace area, plus a picture with Paul and Babe the Blue Ox.

Are you a graduate of ACC and have some pictures near Paul? Share them with us in our station app, or get social with us.

Paul sounds like he is a bigger part of Michigan history than we give him credit for.
