The Lansing State Journal reports that a 'reunion tribute' is planned for fans of the legendary Silver Dollar Saloon, which featured bands such as Bob Seeger, Rush, Kansas, Thirty Eight Special, KISS, Iron Butterfly and MANY other famous acts during the 20 years that Rick and Linda Becker owned the place. The reunion will be at Tequila Cowboy on September 23rd.

The Silver Dollar Saloon, which stood on Michigan Avenue in Lansing right next to the border of East Lansing, which didn't serve alcoholic beverages until November of 1968, inspiring Michigan State University college students to 'run for the border' to wet their whistle.

The celebration planned by the Beckers will feature bands that were regulars at the Silver Dollar in its heyday. Whether you worked at the bar or just spent time enjoying the music and good times, you're all invited to the tribute.
