(The Six O'Clock Triple Shot is a daily feature of three songs that share a common theme, heard weeknights on 94.9 WMMQ)

We look back on a day in Rock 'n' Roll history once again tonight. John Mellencamp had his first and only number one album October 1, 1982. American Fool was a worldwide success, especially in the U.S. and Canada. With singles like "Hurts So Good", "Jack and Diane", and "Hand To Hold On To", the LP also had the album cut "Thundering Hearts" chart on the Billboard Top Tracks chart. Mellencamp recently announced a lengthy tour set to kick off in 2015 at intimate venues around North America.

Tonight, we'll do three of the aforementioned songs for your Six O'Clock Triple Shot. Tune in for the rockers "Hurts So Good" and "Thundering Hearts", and the feel good song "Hand To Hold On To", only on 94.9 WMMQ!
