The decision was made due to Ozzy's ire-fueled addictions, and the negative toll it was taking on the band. All parties involved tell a somewhat different tale, but all agree, it was a blessing in disguise. Black Sabbath went forth as they recruited the late Ronnie James Dio to fill Ozzy's void, The result? One of their best selling albums ever, Heaven and Hell. Meanwhile, the Prince of Darkness happened along a young lad named Randy Rhodes and recruited him to resurrect his tarnished career. History continues to tell the rest of that story.
