(The Six O'Clock Triple Shot is a daily feature of three songs that share a common theme, heard weeknights on 94.9 WMMQ)

It was 37 years ago that Bruce Springsteen and The E. Street Band hit the turning point in their legendary music career, as Darkness on the Edge of Town hit store shelves on June 2, 1978. After the great of success of 1975's Born To Run, the band took three years off to deal with their new found success. Extensive touring and legal battles with former band manager Mike Appel kept the band out of the studio for over a year. Though Darkness is known as a "less commercialized" LP, it still helped fuel what would become rock madness for the Jersey crew through the late 70's and 80's.

Tonight, we hear three from the LP. We kick it off as we should with the album's first track "Badlands", followed by "The Promised Land" and the other single from the LP, "Prove It All Night". It's tonight's Six O'Clock Triple Shot on 94.9 WMMQ!
