Small Town Restaurants That Are a Short Drive From Lansing

Are you tired of eating at the same restaurants in Lansing? Maybe a little roadtrip out of town is what you need.

With so many small towns around the Lansing area you won't have any problem finding a "small town restaurant" to eat at. There's something special about the restaurant in a small town that is the local "favorite" to go to. When I visit small towns and eat or shop at their businesses I feel a sense of gratitude from the owners. That is something that I don't feel to often in Lansing.

It's not uncommon for my family to travel to Laingsburg, Perry, Mason or other small surrounding communities to grab a bite to eat. We enjoy the drive and supporting a small "mom and pop" store or restaurant feels good.

Sometimes restaurants are only open for breakfast and lunch. Other times restaurants in small towns might be the only one that exists and they are open normal hours. Keep in mind that these restaurants operate on a budget and sometimes staffing can be an issue, just like everywhere else.
