Whenever MSU Football hosts a night game or late afternoon game, the university brings in temporary lighting structures. But, according to iSportsweb.com, that may soon be a thing of the past.

The article says that the proposal is in the very early stages. In June, the MSU Board of Trustees are scheduled to vote on authorizing personnel from the Infrastructure Planning and Facilities department to draft a formal plan to submit to the Board. In September, trustees would again vote, this time to approve or reject the plan.

Preliminary estimates show a cost of around $2.1 million that would come from the Athletic Department budget. The ultimate goal is to have the project complete in time for the home opener in 2017.
