Study Says: Michigan is #1 in the Nation for Bullying

WILX Channel 10 is reporting a new study says Michigan is the #1 state for bullying in the nation. Kids are getting ready to go back to school and face a fresh batch of pressure soon. Parents and children need to communicate and watch out for signs.

I was bullied as a child. In 4th grade I got beat up so bad, I walked myself to the doctor. As a teen, I was once assaulted by drunks outside of a gas station, I was dropped on my head in a bathroom during a failed swirly attempt. All these things built up spite and determination.

Now, kids are killing themselves so they don't have to be bullied. Now, kids face pressure from places we didn't. Like Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram. Even Olympic Gold Medalist Gabby Douglas has faced her share of bullies. There are everywhere. In Michigan, the bullying is not just reserved for children.
