Greed runs in many fashions in today's society. And, most times, it runs in low fashion. Unfortunately, here's another story of a lowdown, dastardly deed done in the name of greed.

According to the Lansing State Journal, a thief was caught by surveillance camera breaking in to the Mason VFW Post 7309 on Thursday. Post officials found about $1000.00 missing from a fund set aside to help Mason and Dansville Area veterans with their healthcare costs.

The act reportedly took place very early Thursday morning after a Veterans' Day open house at the hall the night before. The thief broke in through a window at the front of the building.

You can help out with a tax deductible cash donation to the hall by mailing or dropping off such generosity. The Post address is 1243 Hull Road, Mason, MI 48854. If you mail a donation, be sure to to send to the care of Post Commander. The Post is also holding a craft sale to raise funds this weekend. The sale goes until 8:00PM Friday, and runs 9:00AM-4:00PM Saturday.
