Van Andel Arena Snuffs Out Smokers

MLive.com reports that officials at Van Andel Arena have decided to do away with the facility's designated outdoor smoking area.

Effective immediately, smoking will no longer be allowed outside of the arena during events. And, guests will not be allowed to exit and re-enter the arena for any reason. The management company in charge of Van Andel Arena, SMG, instituted the new policy at 230 venues around the country, citing security concerns.
