It's a big weekend on the campus of Michigan State University. The Spartans will host the Oregon Ducks Saturday night in a battle of two top ten football teams. Plenty of events are surrounding the weekend as well, including a huge recruiting weekend for MSU Football and Basketball.

ESPN Gameday will be live from Munn Field Saturday from 9:00AM-11:30AM. Those interested in getting into "The Pit", where fans go crazy and show off funny signs, be there early. Admission to "The Pit" opens at 7:00AM on a first come-first serve basis. Parking for the Gameday festivities is at the Trowbridge Ramp, adjacent to the Communication Arts Building, and costs $20. Tailgating is not allowed during this time.

And, it's the first home tailgate opportunity for fans. With the 8:00PM kickoff, lots will open for tailgaters beginning at 1:00PM. Lots close three hours after the game's conclusion. Even though MSU open container policy is suspended for home football games, Munn Field is still alcohol free. And, yes, they will arrest and/or ticket underage drinkers. No couches or upholstered furniture are allowed at tailgate sites. (I wonder why...)  Kegs and trailers are also banned. Tents and canopies must be 10'x10' or smaller.

As far as parking goes, there are multiple options. Accessible parking is available at the Natural Resources Building (Lot 48) for $20, and includes shuttle service. General parking is also $20 at Munn Field, and the lots adjacent to the railroad tracks off of Trowbridge Rd. Parking along and south of Service Rd. is $10. RV parking is in Lot 92, off of Service Rd. for $40. The commuter lot at Farm Lane and Mt. Hope will also be open again this year, with free parking!! CATA will offer shuttle services for $5 per rider, or a season pass can be purchased for $35.

Now, what can you bring into the stadium? I will answer that with what you CAN NOT bring into the game: NO BAGS OF ANY KIND, including diaper bags, purses, binocular or camera cases. Selfie sticks are prohibited. Smoking and vaping are also banned from the stadium.
