If you've never been inside Elderly Instruments on Washington Avenue in Old Town Lansing, you are missing out on a local gem that's famous all over the world; whenever big bands (and little ones) come through town, they always want to stop at Elderly and lust over the guitars. (The really 'big names' get to shop after hours.)

No, this is NOT a paid ad! I just think the place is cool - and I don't even play an instrument. I've been in there a couple of times over the years for sound equipment, CDs and in-store mini concerts and love to look around. The place is filled with gorgeous guitars, mandolins, banjos - the instruments are truly works of art.
