Free Fishing Weekend February 13 – 14!

There's nothing more romantic than taking your sweetie out on a frozen lake for a chance at landing your dinner or even a few for the freezer! At least for me, that is,

This weekend marks the first of two "Free Fishing Weekends" that will take place in Michigan. And by "Free", the Michigan DNR allows you to fish without a license. All creel limits and size regulations will apply to all species.

Keep in mind also, that with some of the warmer temperatures that we have been having, some lakes may have not totally refrozen to safe conditions. Always test ice with a spud or similar device before walking out and NEVER GO ALONE!
