For over 30 years, Zehnder's Snowfest has been a staple in mid-Michigan. It's a monster event that draws thousands of visitors to Frankenmuth every year.

2022 could quite possibly be their biggest year to date with roughly 100,000 people expected to show up for the five day event later this month.

Since last year was a more scaled down version of Snowfest because of all the COVID-19 restrictions that were in place, this year is really going to feel massive with so many more people attending.

John Shelton, vice president of sales and marketing for Zehnder’s:

If our 2021 business cycle is any indication of attendance, we may have a record turnout. It was the best revenue year in the history of the company.

That statement doesn't surprise me in the least. We tried to make our way to Frankenmuth back in December and it was insanely packed and congested everywhere. It was so busy that we just decided to turn around and go home. There were thousands of people and lines everywhere.

What is There to Do at Zender's Snowfest?

The main thing Snowfest is famous for is their snow and ice sculptures which are created by some of the most talented carvers from all over the world. There's also tons of food, live entertainment, a warming tent  chocolate baking Contest, fireworks, a petting zoo, and magic show.

There's also live entertainment happening at local bars and restaurants including Dueling Pianos at Zender's on January 27 starting at noon.

Also don't forget to check out Frankenmuth’s new ice rink at Zehnder Park.

When is Zender's Snowfest in Frankenmuth?

Zehnder’s Snowfest is a five day event that kicks off on Wednesday, January 26. The event will run through Sunday, January 30.
