After suffering a tough loss in Honolulu on Friday to Arizona, Tom Izzo was very open with the media regarding the state of his team, and the state of college basketball officiating.

Izzo thinks that college basketball has already reverted back to last year's "touch foul" epidemic and that a few of his younger players made poor decisions away from the basket that led them to that foul trouble.

Michigan State's road ahead doesn't get any easier with the Champions Classic and a date with John Calipari and the Kentucky WIldcats on Tuesday.

Izzo is as excited as any Michigan State supporter to get back on the floor and keep his young team tested.

Midway through the press conference, Izzo gave an injury update on one of his player as well, Gavin Schilling.

The Michigan State Spartans take on Kentucky in the opening game of the Champions Classic in New York City Tuesday night. You can catch all the action on your home for Spartan sports, Lansing's Big Talker 1240 WJIM and Classic Rock 94.9 WMMQ.
