I saw this story this weekend and it really helped me forget about my team losing. It puts life and the things we take for granted here in America in perspective. Also, how music brings people from all around the world together.

Only 2 trumpet players in Afghanistan. There the playing of a western instrument is strongly discouraged. 17-year-old Baset Azizi is now in Michigan safely playing at Interlochen.

Philadelphia Orchestra trumpet player David Bilger helped raise the 30 grand for him to attend. What a way to give back to music... and mankind.
