These are the Best Burgers in Michigan According to You

Michigan residents have a passion for burgers. I did an "unofficial" poll on my Facebook page to find out where the best burgers are in Michigan. I never thought I'd get the response that I did. It really opened a can of worms; you didn't hold back about your favorite burgers in our state.

At first, I knew that you would share your favorite local burgers. I encouraged you to share your favorite burgers within the state lines. You did not disappoint.

What makes a burger "the best" burger? For me, it's all about the meat, freshness, the way it's cooked, the bun, and the toppings. I prefer a simple burger, grilled on the flat top with cheddar cheese, ketchup, mustard, pickle, and onion. If I don't add bacon then something is wrong with me. I have never been a fan of sloppy burgers with wet toppings like chili. I want to eat my burger with my hands, not a fork.

Two of my favorite places locally to get burgers in the past were Bonnie's Place and The Irish Pub. If you're local to Lansing, you know what I am talking about and you probably miss them too.
