Burning Ban Issues In Lansing Area

WLNS.com reports that local fire departments have issued burning bans due to the dry, hot conditions in the area.

Delta Township Fire Department has issued a burning ban for all areas of Delta Township, Eagle Township, and Watertown Township. Additionally, Delhi Township issued a Nixle alert banning fires in Delhi and Alaiedon Townships.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has put the entire Tri-County region into a category of a very high fire risk.

According to the WLNS.com report, fireworks, so far, are not included in the burning ban.
