It's the 18th Annual Feed a Friend Food Drive at Lansing and Jackson Subway
today!

Customers who purchase any regular six-inch Subway sandwich at a participating Subway restaurant will receive a free, regular six-inch sandwich of equal or lesser value if they bring in a canned good or other non-perishable food item for donation.

Cash donations will also be accepted through the Subway Cares program, where cash donations are automatically credited to either the Greater Lansing Food Bank or the South Central Food Bank of Michigan.

Last year’s Subway “Feed A Friend” food drive generated over 81,000 pounds of food to residents in the Lansing and Jackson areas. The goal this year is 90 thousand pounds of donated food!

When you donate a non-perishable food item to Feed A Friend, it’s guaranteed to feed families in need within your community.

This year, the day-long food drive will once again benefit partnering food banks, Greater Lansing Food Bank and the South Central Michigan Food Bank.

Kim Harkness, Director of Operations at the Greater Lansing Food Bank said,
“March is a time when our food inventory gets real low. Most people usually think about donating food during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. However, the need to feed those less fortunate is a year long challenge. Over the years, the Subway Feed A Friend program has proven to be one of our most reliable and productive food collection drives. We’re so grateful to Subway for supporting the Lansing/Jackson community,”
