BWL Chili Cook-Off Happens Friday

The 21st Annual BWL Chili Cook-Off takes place Friday at Adado Riverfront Park in Downtown Lansing. The "Chili Bowl" as its nicknamed is having its first ever fall date after 20 years of May dates. There is expected to be 27 vendors vying for awards. And, it's not only chili!! There will also be barbecue for sale. Some chili vendors are putting salsa recipes up for grabs. And, a few vegan friendly vendors will also be on hand.

There will be plenty of refreshments for sale...including beer and cocktails!! Local music acts will be entertaining the crowd. Alex Mendenall, Donny Brown, and Life Support will all perform sets. And, the Chili-Dog Eating Contest, sponsored by Olympic Broil will take place at 7:15pm.

Gates open to the public Friday evening at 5:30pm. The event runs until 9:00pm. Tickets are available at lbwl.com for $5 for adults and $3 for kids in advance, $10 and $8 respectively on the day of.
