Cannon Explodes Near Kalamazoo, Two People Hospitalized

WOOD-TV 8 in Grand Rapids is reporting a dangerous incident that you don't hear about too often these days.

According to the report, a man and a teenager were taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after a cannon exploded in Kalamazoo County's Richland Township. The report does not specify the relationship between the victims.

Reportedly, it all happened just after 2:00 PM near the intersection of M-89 and North 28th Street. Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office officials told WOOD-TV that both victims were seriously injured as they tried to ignite the cannon, whose origination is unknown.
