The summer has been weird. We had a weak spring that was cool temperature wise. That turned into a week long heatwave that saw temperatures in the 90's. This week has felt more like September than June. It's starting to warm up and we will see temperatures rising next week. It will feel like summer.

I try to stay cool by doing as much swimming as possible. If I can't go swimming, I play with my kids in the water at home. I reign supreme in water balloon fights, hose wars and bucket tossing. I show no mercy on my kids, they show no mercy on me. At the end of the day we're cooled off and we had a blast.

Some folks like to head out to the patio for some outdoor dining. I like to do that, if I'm able to sit in the shade.
