Once again the Dewitt Panthers have been playing great high school football this season.

So good that Dewitt will be heading back to Ford Field in Detroit, to play in a Division 3 state championship football game.

Needless to say, but the coach and all of the Dewitt football players couldn't be more pumped up to play in this state championship game.

Here's what the Lansing State Journal had to say:

"Most little kids' dream when they get to high school is to win a state championship," Holtz said. "Not a lot of people have a chance to do that, and even a smaller percent of those people have the opportunity to win two of them. It's surreal (to have that chance). I couldn't ever imagine how far we've come this season and how far we've come the last two years."

Just the fact that the Dewitt Panthers are headed back to Ford Field for another state championship game tells you what kind of football team they are.

It takes a lot of hard work and determination to bring it all together and that's exactly what coach Tyler Holtz has been working on all football season long.

The Dewitt Panthers are a very solid and good team and deserve this incredible opportunity again.

The Dewitt Panthers recently played a game against St. Joseph and had no problem sealing a victory by a score of 43-7. That's all the Panthers needed to get there next shot at a state championship battle at Ford Field.

The Lansing State Journal adds:

Saturday's win over St. Joseph (8-5) marked the 11th straight for Dewitt. All the victories have come by at least 23 points in that span for the Panthers, who will face Detroit King in next week's title game.

It's the Eye of the Panther, or is it Eye of the Tiger? Same thing in my opinion. Go get your state championship title Dewitt. Good luck!
