Drastic Weather Change In Store For Mid-Michigan

MLive's meteorologist Mark Torregrossa says we will see a cold front move through Friday afternoon or evening, leaving football spectators with windy conditions and rain changing to snow just in time for the noon kickoff at Spartan Stadium between Michigan State and Ohio State.

Saturday's high temperatures will be during the early morning hours, falling into the low 30's late Saturday afternoon. Judging by the illustrations in the report, the lake effect snow machine will likely kick on with the northeast winds up there in measured velocity.

I'm no meteorologist, just a lifelong Michigan resident and weather geek. But, don't be surprised if a strong thunderstorm precedes the arrival of the cold front Friday evening.
