Michigan is home to Grand Rapids, also known as "Beer City". However, Michigan is also home of some cold winters. So, of course someone would come up with a way that allows people to drink beer outside all year long, despite Michigan weather! One Lansing area brewing company has done just that!

The Lansing State Journal reports that downtown Mason brewery, Bad Brewing Company, has introduced igloos to their patio area. The igloos, which are covered in plastic and have an electric heater, allow eight to eleven people to sit outside and sips their suds.

Bad Brewing wasn't the first brewery to introduce the igloo as a fun, new way to enjoy outdoor seating. Owner Brian Rasdale "noticed the igloos start to appear at breweries last year, and decided he wanted to bring them to his brewery.

While there is an igloo on hand for walk-ins that's available on a first come, first served basis, you can also call and reserve an igloo. It's $35 for an igloo Sunday through Thursday, and $75 Friday and Saturday. Just make sure you have at least eight people to reserve the igloo. To read more about this cool outdoor seating at Bad Brewing Company, click here.
