East Lansing Late-Night Favorite Closes Doors After 15 Years
Say goodbye to an East Lansing staple.
The Lansing State Journal reports that East Lansing late-night favorite, Menna's Joint, has officially closed its doors. No longer will MSU students be able to get giant tortillas stuffed with chicken tenders, potatoes, cheese, and lots more. And what's more, no longer will those who are drinking be able to get their late-night snack delivery from Menna's to help keep the next day's hangover at bay.
The Menna's Joint in Downtown East Lansing, which had been open for over 15 years, wasn't able "to secure new lease terms at its current location on Abbot Street in East Lansing" -- the reason for it's closure. That location was also the last one open in the Lansing/East Lansing area. Now, the nearest locations are in Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, and Mount Pleasant. On Menna's Facebook post, they did that they "hope to be back in East Lansing sometime soon!"
Until that day, if you want a GIANT tortilla stuffed with meats, veggies, cheeses, and sauces, you can always hit up one of the Conrad's Grill locations in the Lansing/East Lansing area. Conrad's Grill was founded by Joe Conrad, who was part of the original team at Menna's until he branched out with Conrad's Grill in 2007. Get more info on the Menna's Joint closure here.
