Longtime FOX Sports announcer Joe Buck (pictured), in an interview with SiriusXM on Wednesday, said that FOX is seriously looking at pumping in fake crowd noise during their National Football League broadcasts this fall.

Buck told host Andy Cohen:

In fact I know they will do it, It’s pretty much a done deal. I think whoever is gonna be at that control of that will have to be really good at their job and be realistic with how the crowd would react depending on what just happened on the field so it’s really important.

The NFL is planning on the 2020 season starting as scheduled with training camp beginning in late July.  The preseason games would be in August, and then the regular season set to begin on September 10th.

The Detroit Lions open their 2020 season on September 13th at Ford Field against NFC North rival Chicago.  It is unclear if fans will be allowed into the stadium for that contest.
