Fields Of Gold Shine Bright In Ingham County

While traveling to the booming metropolis of Mason from my home in Holt, I like to take a little shortcut. South on Aurelius to Harper and over to Cedar.

Along the way, their are a couple of beautiful sunflower fields in full bloom. Cars of people stopping for photos of the tall stalks with the large golden flowers in bloom. Like a sea of gold, they stay strong through the breeze.

Sadly, it's a reminder that fall is fast approaching and the leaves will be changing color to announce the forthcoming winter. With any luck, the cold and snow will take its time and we will be able to enjoy a few more days of dry warmth.
