On Monday May 6th at the State Capital, the MI-Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) are having their 26th annual Law Enforcement Candlelight Memorial Service at 7pm. The ceremony is about a half hour long.

This year they are honoring the life and dedicated service of Officer Fadi Shukur from the Detroit police Department. Click here for more info.

I know how people like more than one source, so in the other study I saw, it said police AND firefighters. Click here to see that.

One study said for 3 straight years police suicides outnumber the line-of-duty deaths. Click here to see it.

There is someone in our area who specializes in therapy for first responders. Click here to see that story.

A great place to thank a cop during the month of May is Cops & Doughnuts at Creyts and 496.
