Weather. You can’t change it. You can’t (even though you may really, really want to) blame your well-intentioned meteorologist. And it can really put a damper on events that happen outside that depend on well, the weather.

That would be a NASCAR race. Specifically the Firekeepers Casino 400 that was slated to happen at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday. Mother Nature had other plans.

Thousands of fans converged on NASCAR’s Most Entertaining Track on Sunday with the hope that the weather would hold back long enough to at least get two hundred miles in, but that was not to be the case, as throughout the day rain would run the gamut of sprinkles to well…rain.

However, we still had a good time at the track and got some photos to share with you in the gallery above.

The race will now take place at MIS Monday afternoon at 5.
