It didn't take long for somebody to plan to snag up a valuable property on the Michigan Avenue corridor. Clara's Lansing Station restaurant closed it's doors last month after nearly 4 decades of serving Lansing diners. WLNS.com is reporting that the property will soon have a new owner.

The Gillespie Group reportedly has big plans for the building. This will add to an already impressive real estate collection for the development group (The Outfield Apartments, Stadium District, Lansing City Market, and Lansing Brewery Company among them). But, don't expect a simple reboot or re-opening of Clara's. The story says Gillespie Group will work the building's passenger rail car into the final project, which is expected to be an establishment for food and drinks.
