WLNS.com reports that Hyundai and Kia are issuing a major recall affecting more than a half-million Sport-Utility Vehicles over a potential fire risk.

According to the report, 379,000 Kia Soul models made between 2012 and 2016 with 1.6 liter engines may experience high exhaust temperatures that can damage catalytic converters, leading to engine damage that could result in oil leaks and fires.

Additionally, 2011 and 2012 Kia Sportage models are being recalled due to leaky oil pans that can result in fires. 2011, 2012, and 2013 Hyundai Tucson models are also being recalled for the same problem.
