Michigan State football junior defensive end Kenny Willekes (pictured above, #48) announced on Tuesday that he will come back to school for his senior season and skip the April NFL Draft.

Willekes has had a stellar last two years in East Lansing, rising from a low-level recruit to a potential NFL Draft pick.

Kenny amassed 78 total tackles (fourth on the team) with 8.5 sacks and a team-leading 20.5 tackles for loss in 2018.  He was named as the Big Ten's Defensive Lineman of the Year as a result.

Unfortunately, he suffered a broken leg in the Spartans loss to Oregon in the Redbox Bowl on December 31st.  He joins fellow juniors Raequan Williams and Joe Bachie as Spartans who are returning to school for 2019.
