Sure, we've seen some touch down action at the first two Michigan home games, but we've also seen 19 fans escorted out of the Big House as well. According to reports from university security, the ejections came from behavioral issues like unruly conduct, taunting and ignoring warnings from staff.

This isn't the first time we've seen issues down in Ann Arbor either. Roughly 28 fans had been ejected about a year ago.

What Led to the Ejections

During the season opener for Michigan football, several fans were warned multiple times for ignoring stadium rules. That bad behavior ended up continuing. From inappropriate language, interfering with others, or even safety issues. Ushers and police were forced to step in.

By the end of the night, some had been removed.

Game two also saw similar actions from fans and students. There were loud confrontations, escalating tensions, followed up by removals. Both cases had no serious injuries reported, nor damages.

Impact on Fan Experience

Officials told the public, that Michigan Athletics are committed to improving the fans experience. From enforcing policies more consistently, increasing staff in trouble spots, and making sure people know what is and what is not acceptable.

What Fans Should Know Going Forward

Signs, announcements, and reminders will be visibly displayed going forward.

Stadium managers have also emphasized that the majority of people attending these events are respectful and excited, making it special for the team and staff. But, as we all know, it only takes a few rotten apples to change that.

As a note, and this can go for anywhere you go, from the Big House, to Spartan Stadium, to even Ford Field. Respect the space, follow the rules, and everyone will win at the end of each day.
