The brown-bricked building looks a little unassuming from the outside, but the inside is a whole other story.

Antiques, Collectibles, and More

The Mega Mall is huge, we're talking 40,000 square feet huge. And the numerous aisles are packed with antiques, jewelry, furniture, books, old records, and tons of collectibles, like Hot Wheels, playing cards, Pyrex, and plenty more.

We spent over two hours walking up and down those aisles looking at all the fun and unique treasures, and we probably only saw a portion of what's there.

We ended up purchasing an old Eagles album we found to add to our collection. It plays perfectly.

I'd say that the Mega Mall is one of those places that you have to go to at least once. It's not only a Lansing "experience", but I'd say that it's a Michigan experience as well. I mean heck, it's featured on the Pure Michigan website.

Lansing's Mega Mall is essentially like a giant antique store, flea market, and swap meet all rolled into one. And, it's open all year long. 8 years after the initial closure, the owner is selling the land and the building outright. The building was recently renovated with a new metal roof, along with a new well. Earlier this year the bathroom was remodeled, as well as new interior doors being installed. the building does have air conditioning, a furnace and septic. It's heated by natural gas with a 220 plug in building. The lot and parking lot offers .6 acres of space. It's a 31 X 40 building split into 5 rooms, with an additional enclosed porch.
