WILX.com reports that Governor Rick Snyder has signed a bill into law that will allow Michigan landlords to prevent their residents from legally using medicinal marijuana in their rental dwellings, creating another hurdle for legally licensed patients in the state.

Grand Ledge Republican State Senator Rick Jones, the very same who presented WMMQ with a state proclamation on the station's 30th anniversary, sponsored the bill. The growth, manufacturing, and use of medical pot in Michigan rental properties is now at the full discretion of the property owner.

This is the second big victory for Senator Jones' sponsored legislation efforts in as many months. He also sponsored a bill that no longer made underage possession of alcohol a punishable misdemeanor. Drink up, little Johnny!! Just don't let your terminally-ill relative toke up and find legally licensed relief in that senior apartment complex!!
