Mosey-ing With Maitlynn: Memorial Day Social Distancing Style
We have all seen the pictures and we all know, like the other holidays of 2020, Memorial Day was a bit different than ones we've enjoyed in the past.
When it came down to our plans for the holiday, we really had no idea what we would be doing this time last week but, I can honestly say we had the best weekend to kick off the summer.
As someone who has had two family members in the Marines, Memorial Day means a lot to me and our family in remembering and honoring the friends they have lost and the incredible service men and women who gave their lives for our country throughout history.
It is definitely more than a long weekend full of parties and that energy carried through our entire weekend.
We listened to the Memorial Day 500 right here on WMMQ and it was so fun because all weekend our friends and family were keeping up with it and asking me "what number's this one!?" We spent Monday in the pool ready to hear what ended up being #1.
Saturday, we kicked off the weekend with a barbecue with our family and closest friends, made sure to keep our distance and enjoyed the presence of plenty of puppies and babies!
Then, we made our way to a party with Jordan's cousins and my sister at their barn where we danced the night away so much that my legs felt like they were going to fall off the next morning.
Then, on Sunday we spent the day enjoying the sun, chilling by the pool and trying some pizza from a new-to-us pizza joint called Big Chuck's! Even the cat enjoyed it...or at least sitting on the warm box.
We can honestly say it was a Memorial Day weekend like none other and we are so happy (and so sunburned) after.
