Michigan State University Senior Executive Chef Kurt Kwiatkowski offers up his way of making wings:

Chicken Wings

3 pounds raw wings

Salt and pepper for seasoning

4 ounces butter

¼ c. of sauce (hot, teriyaki, BBQ, etc)

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees

Roast on the middle rack of the oven, about 25 minutes. Turn the wings over and cook another 25 to 30 minutes, making sure the meat is cooked through and the skin is golden brown.

While the chicken is roasting, melt the butter in a sauce pan along with your sauce of choice

Remove the wings from the oven, transfer to the bowl and pour the sauce over the wings and toss with the sauce. Serve warm.

* Chef Kurt also suggests that you could render off some bacon fat and melt that with the butter for some added pork deliciousness to the flavor of your wings
