MSU Police Say Odd Actions on MSU Campus Not a Threat

The State News says here that Michigan State University Police deem no credible threat in connection with the above story, which was posted on social media regarding an incident that reportedly happened recently on campus in East Lansing.

Here is the comment on Facebook from Michigan State University Police:

We have received many questions about a post on Facebook regarding a woman asking to use a student’s phone on campus which led to questions if this was an act of human trafficking. MSU Police Department has taken one non-criminal report regarding this incident and at this time there is no threat to the community based on the information provided in the report.

In the comments of the above statement, a woman posted that a very similar thing happened to her daughter on campus.

The State News story says there have been a half dozen similar such incidents on campus.

Maybe just remind your kids - all of them - to be very aware of their surroundings at all times...
