Nearly 38 Million Fire Extinguishers Recalled by Kidde

If you have a Kidde fire extinguisher that was manufactured between January 1973 and August of this year, it might not work when you need it most.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports of one death caused by a problem with extinguishers made by Kidde. There were other cases of the affected models not properly operating.

Check your model number against the CPSC's list here and if yours is on the list, please call Kidde at (855) 271-0773 for a free replacement with a metal handle.
