There's often been talk about the mosquito replacing the robin as Michigan's State Bird. Well, with the continued precipitation levels and forthcoming ninety degree days, we may have a bumper crop of the winged bloodsuckers!

New test signs in Michigan's Upper Peninsula warn of the dangers that residents could face. Be on the lookout for new signs around low lying, swampy areas where they are known to breed. You may also want to remove any stagnate water that may collect in buckets, barrels or old tires on  your property.

Any and all help that you can offer could help and save you from sever loss of blood and continuous itching from their bite.
