The polls are open for today's mid-term elections from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

If you're new to taking part in the electoral process, here's a link from the State of Michigan on how to properly mark your ballot.

Here's a link if you want a look at what your ballot might look like in the City of Lansing, depending on the district in which you live.

You can plug in your county and particulars here to see exactly what your ballot will look like when you make your way into the booth to let your voice be heard.

Heads up - you still can't take a selfie at the polling station. The Michigan Secretary of State says this:

"The use of video cameras, still cameras and other recording devices are prohibited in the polls when they are open for voting. This includes still cameras and other recording features built into many cell phones. The ban applies to all voters, challengers, poll watchers and election workers. Exceptions are made for credentialed members of the news media though certain restrictions remain."
