(The Six O'Clock Triple Shot is a daily feature of three songs that share a common theme, heard weeknights on 94.9 WMMQ)

Well, honestly, for no real rhyme or reason, other than it feels like a good day to do so, we will get the Led out tonight for your Six O'Clock Triple Shot. The band keeps finding ways to find the headlines as of late. The band is launching a re-issue of their first three LP's. Robert Plant has said a Zeppelin reunion wouldn't fly with him...he doesn't want to be a jukebox, and bands like The Eagles do it out of boredom. Jimmy Page is a little frustrated with Plant's continued resistance. Don Henley took objection to Plant's words and fired back. Now, the band is facing a lawsuit from former Spirit bassist Mark Andes, claiming that Led Zeppelin stole the sound for "Stairway To Heaven" from Spirit's song "Taurus".

Led Zeppelin is a band that hasn't toured in over three decades. They haven't produced an album of new material in that span, either. Yet, the one-off shows with Jason Bonham filling in for his late father, the Page-Plant projects of the 90's, the live box sets with previously unheard recordings, the countless re-issues or compilation LP's still garner the attention that the band did in their heydays of the late 60's and 70's. That, my friends, is what they call Legendary Status. Tonight, we remember exactly what made the band so legendary. Tune in for a couple from Houses of the Holy "No Quarter" and "The Crunge", and the Bonzo Masterpiece "Fool In The Rain" from In Through The Out Door. We're getting the Led out for tonight's Six O'Clock Triple Shot on 94.9 WMMQ!
