Toyota Announces Major Recall Over Faulty Fuel Pumps
WILX.com is reporting that Toyota is issuing a major recall, affecting nearly 700,000 of its most popular vehicles.
According to the report, there is the potential for fuel pumps to fail, resulting in an engine stall, which increases the chance of an accident.
The long list of affected models includes 2018 and 2019 Lexus LS 500, LC 500, RC 350, RC 300, GS 350, IS 300, ES 350, LX 570, GX 460, and RX 350. Additionally, 2018 and 2019 Toyota Camry, Highlander, 4 Runner, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma, and Tundra models are being recalled, as are some 2019 Avalons and Corollas.
Toyota has not yet come up with the solution to the problem. But, they will begin notifying owners of affected models beginning in March.
