On a recent trip up north, my wife Sara Marie and I noticed the change that was taking place in the colors of the leaves. On the way back, it changed even more.

The smell of fall is one like no other. Friday night's are filled with lights and Saturdays are filled with the smell of tailgaters cooking out and and conversation with friends and fellow fans. For others it's the respite  of the woods and your attention being drawn to rustling leaves or the snap of a twig. The whizzing of  line being stripped from its spool by a steelhead or the sound of geese coming in to ground blinds filled with anticipation. All of these so many in Michigan enjoy, and such a limited time before the snow flies and temperatures drop.

Enjoy it while it's here and remember how it feels. It will make winter feel a little warmer until spring is here and you can wear shorts and a t shirt again in 40 degree weather!
