Minnesota announced yesterday, they couldn't reach an agreement with Ragnar, their mascot since 1994. Joe Juranitch has played Ragnar for the last 21 years and was making about $1,500 per game. This year he was asking for 20 grand per game.

He wanted a 10 year deal that would make him about 1.6 million. If he performed at playoff games, that could run the money up to 2 million bucks. Sunday, the Vikings didn't need Ragnar to beat the toothless Lions.

He's usually seen riding his motorcycle out of the tunnel, leading the Vikings on the field. The fans have started an internet campaign to get him back. The organization seems ready to move on.

"The Vikings greatly appreciate what Ragnar has meant to the organization and to the fans over the last two decades. We intend to honor his 21 seasons on the field during a 2015 Vikings home game and we will welcome him to future ceremonial events. We will always consider Ragnar an important part of Vikings history." Get the full story here.

If he feels underpaid, he should talk to a cheerleader. Some of them make about $150 per game.
