Abandoned Michigan: The Okemos Burger King

This isn't going to be one of those fact based articles with research and inside information. This is more of a hey, look what I saw deal.

I was driving through Okemos the other day and hey, look what I saw. The Okemos Burger King is closed up and abandoned like Jurassic Park.

For years, this was my favorite Burger King. This is the place where I had my first Halloween Whopper and green crap after.

I have no clue whether this is the end or just a remodeling. I imagine it's the end because the one by Jolly and Dunckel still sits abandoned as well.

According to this 247 sports message board, it doesn't look like it will be coming back. That is a prime location in basically a big food court. The Chick-fil-a in the Meijer parking lot is always packed. We used to hit the Burger King when we didn't feel like waiting. Very sorry to see it go but if you can't take the heat...
