The Best Cheeseburger in Michigan is Among the Best in America
Let the debate begin! Is this REALLY the very best burger in Michigan?
No doubt, Michigan is a great state for foodies. Several burger chains actually got their start in the Mitten State, including Mr. Burger, Bagger Dave's, Halo Burger, and Zo's Good Burger.
It's even believed the Olive Burger originated in Michigan! (Keep scrolling to see the top olive burgers in Michigan.)
What makes a good cheeseburger to you? For me it's all about a juicy patty, melty cheese, and a good helping of mayo and ketchup. Maybe you like to spice it up with jalapeños, or bacon is a must for you?
Well, Lovefood sought to find the best burgers in the country. They say,
With just three major components – a beef patty, burger bun, and cheese slice – cheeseburgers are pretty simple. But there are many ways that restaurants can pep things up, from using pepper jack or Swiss cheese to opting for a mouth-watering brioche or potato roll.
Lovefood's picks are based on genuine user reviews, awards and accolades, and the first-hand experience of their team.
So which cheeseburger in Michigan is tops according to love food? Just one Michigan burger joint made the list...
Congrats to Motz's Burgers!
Here's Lovefood's praise for Motz's
Folks flock to Motz's Burgers for old-fashioned sliders on soft locally made buns – and this family-owned business has been flipping burgers since 1929. Sizzled on the griddle with caramelized onions, then popped on the bun and topped with ketchup, mustard, pickles, and an optional slice of gooey cheese, this is a traditional American slider done best.
In addition to burger sliders, Motz's Burgers also serves up fried chicken sliders and fish sandwiches.
They also offer shakes and French fries or onion rings as a side.
Motz's Burgers is located at 7208 W Fort St. in Detroit. A second location is opening this summer at 27010 Plymouth Road in Redford. Here's hoping Motz's Burgers continues to expand so the whole state can enjoy this yumminess!
