One of my favorite days of the year is TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY!!! Ever since my days as an intern, it is one of the funnest days of the year in radio. People play along, calling in to talk like a pirate and it's a welcome break from reality. Writer's note: I am a Classic Rock DJ- My job is pretty fun most of the time.

So, this year I share pirate phrases and sayings. Click here to see the pirate glossary.

The phrase I would like to call your attention to is: Crack Jenny's Teacup. The glossary defines the term as "To spend the night in a house of ill repute."

Kind of grosses you out, huh? Even in pirate times, men had terrible descriptions of intimacy.

Let's change the subject to Davy Jones' locker: "A fictional place at the bottom of the ocean. In short, a term meaning death. Davy Jones was said to sink every ship he ever over took, and thus, the watery grave that awaited all who were sunk by him was given his name. To die at sea is to go to Davy Jones' Locker."
