Calling All ‘Wine-O’s': Have You Been to this Winery in Haslett?
I don't know about you, but I love myself a good glass of wine. If your someone who doesn't really know much about wine but you're interested in discovering more, I've got a place for you to visit.
Burgdorf's Winery
I've been meaning to get my lazy self off of the couch and over to Burgdorf's Winery for quite sometime now. I finally went this week and let me just say, if you've never been, you need to go.
First things first, the staff is the best and they have a winery cat! When we arrived Mr. Kitty and the staff were there to greet us. Mr. Kitty even has his own wine called 'Purrr-fection.' I bought a bottle, obviously.
Do you prefer dry or sweet wines? If you're not quite sure, you can do a mixture of sweet and dry, that's what I did. I tend to like dry wines more, however, I ended up going home with their pear wine because it was fantastic. They have a few different options for you and each flight comes with four wines.
After you get your wine, it's time to hit the great outdoors. There's plenty of seating on or off of the patio. When you're done with your taste testing, don't forget to check out their gift shop. They have everything from bottle stoppers to beautiful antique lamps.
Events at Burgdorf's Winery
If you don't have any plans on September 10th, Burgdorf's Winery is throwing their 16th Anniversary Harvest Celebration. It's $10 per person which includes three tickets for a 2-oz wine pour.

If you're interested in getting some friends or family together, they also throw private parties. Burgdorf's Winery is located at 5635 Shoeman Road, Haslett, MI 48840.
